On March 26, 2026, another kidney transplant operation was performed at the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (NCPMC) on a pro bono basis for a 29-year-old patient.

The operation process was supervised by Bakyt Kadyraliev, Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan.

For a year, the patient underwent programmed hemodialysis due to kidney function loss, which was a result of chronic glomerulonephritis. The donor for the transplant was the patient's biological brother.

Since the beginning of 2024, the NCPMC has carried out 41 free kidney transplant operations funded by the government. Notably, from 2018 to 2026, the center performed 83 kidney transplants.

The medical team of the NCPMC continues to accept patients with chronic kidney diseases and actively develops the field of transplantation in Kyrgyzstan.

During his visit, the Deputy Minister also met with a patient who received a kidney transplant 14 years ago. Today, this person leads an active life and works successfully, which confirms the effectiveness of transplantation and its role in improving quality of life.
