In the January World Economic Outlook report, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) updated its forecasts, raising the expected economic growth of China to 4.5% by 2026.

The reason for the 0.3 percentage point change in the forecast was the reduction of U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods, prompted by the trade truce reached in November, as well as support measures that will be in effect for two years. The IMF also anticipates that in 2027, China's economy will grow by 4.0%.

According to preliminary data, the real economic growth of China in 2025 is expected to be 5%.
