In 2026, schools in Bishkek will receive 30 interactive panels. This became known on February 6, when the director of the Department of Education, Rakhad Musaeva, spoke at a meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council, which deals with economics, budget, finance, and investments.

At the meeting, deputy Emir Marlisbekov from the "Emgek" party pointed out the discrepancy between the requested amount and the approved budget. The request amounted to 866 million 566 thousand soms, while only 851 million 566 thousand soms were allocated in the budget draft. Vice Mayor Viktoria Mozgacheva clarified that it was the budget cuts that affected the number of interactive panels being purchased.

Initially, it was planned to purchase 100 interactive panels, but only 30 were ultimately approved, as reported by V. Mozgacheva. According to R. Musaeva, the cost of one panel is 128 thousand soms. The department submitted a request for 30 panels for 2026 but also asked to purchase an additional 70.

R. Musaeva noted that the distribution of interactive panels to schools will be based on the submitted requests. When asked about the distribution of panels by districts, she promised to provide additional information later.

E. Marlisbekov also emphasized that schools in the Oktyabrsky district are in urgent need of interactive boards and proposed adding the purchase of another 70 panels to the budget.

In addition, Marlisbekov suggested introducing traffic rules lessons for 10th and 11th-grade students. Vice Mayor Mozgacheva noted that the inclusion of driving education in the curriculum for high school students is already provided for by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
