The competition will be held in the following categories:
- “Prose” — includes novels, novellas, as well as collections of short stories;
- “Poetry” — for poems and collections of poetry;
- “Journalism” — collections of articles and other journalistic materials;
- “Children's and Young Adult Literature” — novels, novellas, short stories, and poetry collections;
- “Literature on the Formation of Kyrgyz Statehood”;
- “Literature on Culture and Art” — album-catalogs, photo albums, and more.
Authors who are 18 years of age or older are invited to participate in the competition. All submitted works must be original and unpublished.
A collection of works that become winners will be published under the auspices of the ministry.
Requirements for the volume of works: the document must be formatted in Microsoft Word (A4), font — Times New Roman, size — 14, line spacing — 1, and the total volume must not exceed 500 pages.
To participate, it is necessary to fill out an application, which will be accepted from February 16 to April 13, 2026. Applications should be sent through the district state administrations at the place of residence marked "For the competition '40 Districts – 40 Books'", as well as to the email address of the secretariat: [email protected].
