This law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026.
The agreement aims to secure a concessional loan from the Saudi Fund for Development in the amount of 187,500,000 Saudi riyals, equivalent to 50 million US dollars.
The loan is provided for a period of 25 years with a 5-year grace period and an interest rate of 1.5% per annum. The funds will be disbursed in US dollars.
This agreement envisions financing the second phase of the project "Construction of Public Schools," which aims to expand and modernize educational infrastructure, eliminate the shortage of student places, and create comfortable conditions for obtaining quality education.
As part of the project implementation, it is planned to build 5 new general education schools and add 7 educational buildings to existing schools in Bishkek, as well as construct 2 new schools in the Chui region. The total project capacity of the new schools will range from 150 to 1,000 student places.
