Today, February 5, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Medina Kairylbekova raised the issue of plans to build a school just 50 meters from the tuberculosis hospital in Talas.

In her opinion, this medical facility should be relocated to a more remote area. She appealed to the Minister of Health, Kanibek Dosmambetov, to monitor this situation.

Kairylbekova noted that the tuberculosis hospital is located in the center of the settlement and is not connected to the city sewer system, using its own septic tank instead. In close proximity, just 55 meters away, is an existing school, where the new one is planned to be built. Waste from the hospital's septic tank is transported to a bio-pond, but this process is done openly. Furthermore, 500 meters from the bio-pond is the residential complex "Zhashtyk," where about 500 families live. They use water from a pipeline laid at a depth of six meters, which could create serious problems in the future. "The tuberculosis hospital needs to be relocated," the deputy emphasized.
