A new sports complex of the college named after Sh. Sydykov has opened in Bishkek


In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a solemn opening of the modern sports complex of the Republican Sports College named after Sh. Sydykov took place. The ceremony was led by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Colonel General Kamchybek Tashiev. As part of the event, the reopening of the dormitory, mosque, and educational building of the college after major repairs also took place.

Among the participants were the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Buzurman Bagyshbekov, as well as the college administration, teachers, coaches, and students. Kamchybek Tashiev emphasized the importance of sports for the future of the country and highlighted the significance of creating modern conditions to support and develop youth.

The new sports complex includes a wrestling hall equipped with modern mats and equipment for Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, spectator stands, a food court, and a conference hall, as well as additional rooms for educational and training activities. Athletes have access to gyms, sports fields, and a cardio zone for physical training. A mosque has also been built on the college grounds.

The educational institution occupies an area of 7.6 hectares and includes an academic building, a cafeteria, two sports complexes, an indoor swimming pool, halls for gymnastics and wrestling, two football fields, and two dormitories. The college was founded in 1971 on the basis of an orphanage as the Republican Sports School-Internat named after N. Krupskaya, and in 2000 it was named after the outstanding sports figure Sheraly Sydykov.
