Kazybek Moldazhiyev, head of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, recently visited the Republican Sports College named after Sheraly Sydykov, located in Bishkek. During his visit, he participated in a ceremonial line dedicated to important events in the life of the educational institution.
During his tour, Moldazhiyev familiarized himself with the process of major repairs and infrastructure updates at the college. He inspected various sports and educational facilities, including training rooms, a gym, an assembly hall, and medical offices. The agency head expressed confidence that the college students, thanks to their dedication and efforts, would achieve significant success in sports.
The Republican Sports College covers an area of 7.6 hectares and includes an academic building, a cafeteria, two sports complexes, an indoor swimming pool, and a gymnastics hall, as well as wrestling rooms, two football fields, and two dormitories. The educational process encompasses sports such as Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, women's wrestling, boxing, athletics, judo, and football.
This college was founded in 1971 based on an orphanage and was initially named the Republican Sports Boarding School named after N. Krupskaya. In 2000, the educational institution was renamed in honor of the outstanding athlete Sheraly Sydykov.
