Modern devices will help identify hidden defects and assess the seismic resistance of structures
In Kyrgyzstan, testing of new engineering equipment designed for a more accurate assessment of the condition of buildings and their seismic resistance has taken place. The tests were organized at the State Institute of Seismic Resistant Construction with the support of the Ministry of Construction of the Kyrgyz Republic in collaboration with the Russian company "Tyumengeotechalliance".
During the event, specialists were shown two devices: the "Velosimeter" and the "Seismic Recorder Baikal-7". These devices have already been tested on several sites, allowing for the determination of the dynamic parameters of buildings, their level of wear, and the identification of potential structural deficiencies.
After the practical tests are completed, technical reports will be compiled. If the results are positive, the Ministry of Construction plans to consider the possibility of further use of the devices, as well as their procurement if necessary.
