
The Deputy Managing Director of the European External Action Service for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Audrone Perkauskiene, held talks with the ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan to discuss the implementation of regional agreements and future partnership prospects.
The meeting also addressed issues of transport connectivity and joint energy projects. Information about the results of the meeting was provided by the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Belgium.
Special attention during the dialogue was given to preparations for the upcoming ministerial meetings and the expansion of the "European Union - Central Asia" summit format.
Representatives of the European side emphasized the strategic importance of the region and expressed readiness for long-term investments in local infrastructure. The diplomats noted that stable relations between Brussels and the Central Asian states are a guarantee of economic stability for the entire Eurasian space.
During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the practical implementation of already reached agreements, including the creation of reliable supply chains and the simplification of trade procedures.
As a result of the meeting, EU representatives announced plans to increase technical and advisory support for the region, which will contribute to the integration of Central Asia into global production processes.
