As of today, February 9, according to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, all mountain passes in Kyrgyzstan are open for traffic. As of 10:30, the situation on the roads remains stable.
The agency noted that road maintenance enterprises (RME) in each of the seven regions are effectively monitoring their sections. Round-the-clock duty is in place, and snow removal and the application of anti-icing materials are being carried out.
The Ministry strongly recommends that drivers adhere to traffic rules, avoid entering the oncoming lane under any circumstances, and use winter tires while carrying necessary tools.
