As of the morning of January 2, at 11:00, the Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan reported that traffic on all key passes of the country is proceeding without any restrictions.
As clarified by the ministry, clear weather is observed at the Töö-Ashuu, Sööк, Chоң-Ashuu, Dolon, Char, Ak-Beyit, and Kubak passes, as well as in the Boom Gorge, allowing vehicles to move in normal mode. The road is also open at the Ötmäk pass on the Suusamyr–Talas–Taraz highway.
The agency emphasized that road services are engaged daily in ensuring safety on the roads.
Drivers are strongly advised to take into account winter conditions on the roads, use winter tires, carry necessary tools, and strictly follow traffic rules.
