The city administration of Osh has announced plans to build a new plant that will produce electricity through waste recycling.
According to information from the municipality, a concession agreement was signed between the Osh city administration and the well-known Chinese company in the field of environmental technologies, "Jiunxin Huanbao Ke Ji Invest." The signatures were put by the mayor, Zhenishbek Toktorbaev, and the company's director, Dai Daogo.
As part of this agreement, a modern solid waste recycling plant is planned to be created, which will be capable of processing up to 310,000 tons of waste annually and generating electricity from it.
The enterprise will be built in compliance with all environmental standards, which will eliminate harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
"In the coming days, a capsule-laying ceremony will be held as part of this project. It is expected that the plant will begin its operations at the end of 2027," the city administration added.
