An avalanche has occurred on the alternative North-South route

The Aral–Kazarman section is closed to traffic

On February 12, an avalanche occurred on the alternative North-South highway in the Aral–Kazarman area (length 243–296 km), reported the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As a result, traffic in both directions has been temporarily halted. The size of the avalanche is currently being assessed.

Road clearing operations are being organized by the Road Maintenance Enterprise No. 18 of the Ministry of Transport. Special equipment has been dispatched to the scene, and work is ongoing.
