Important figures attended the event, including B. Osmonov, the head of the Ton district state administration, district prosecutor K. Karimov, head of the Ton district internal affairs department Sh. Ilimgaziev, chairman of the veterans council T. Alchikeev, as well as leaders of district institutions, veterans of the war in Afghanistan, activists, and schoolchildren.
During the event, participants honored the memory of fallen servicemen, expressing gratitude for their courage and bravery.
The district akim delivered a speech in which he highlighted the merits of the veterans, wished them health and long life, and presented awards from the district state administration.
At the conclusion of the event, a memorial lunch was organized for 51 veterans and their spouses, as well as for the widows of fallen soldiers.
