Security measures have been tightened on the Bishkek—Kara-Balta highway.

According to information received from the press service of the Road Traffic Safety Department (RTSD) of the Chui Regional Internal Affairs Directorate, this highway passes through the Sokuluk, Moskovsky, and Jayil districts. In this regard, to enhance pedestrian safety, control over compliance with traffic rules has been strengthened.

Employees of the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Moskovsky district reported that recently there have been cases where passengers attempt to stop vehicles in unauthorized places, ignoring designated stops.

“Traffic lights and pedestrian markings have been installed on the central Lenin Street in the village of Belovodskoye, which intersects with the Bishkek—Kara-Balta road. Nevertheless, passengers heading to Sokuluk and Bishkek often wait for transport right on the roadway, thereby creating dangerous situations for themselves and drivers. To address this issue, special inspections are being conducted, and measures to ensure passenger safety are being intensified,” the statement emphasizes.

In addition, during inspections, attention is focused on the technical and sanitary condition of vehicles. Drivers are informed about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and taking precautions on the roads.
