Citizens in need of assistance can contact the relevant authorities
As of January 1, 2026, the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic operates city, district, and inter-district departments, where 854 social workers provide home services to 9452 citizens requiring social support. Among them:
* 3819 lonely elderly people;
* 2313 citizens with disabilities;
* 350 married couples;
* 2971 families facing difficulties.
Specialists assist those living alone, people with limited mobility, as well as couples and families in difficult situations. Social workers help solve everyday problems and provide psychological and social support.
Each social worker has an individual schedule and visits their charges at least twice a week, which ensures quality care and timely assistance to those in need.
To receive home services, a written request must be submitted by local self-government bodies, neighbors, or close relatives of the citizen in need. The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration is actively working to improve the quality and accessibility of social services.
