A Bean Processing Plant Will Be Built in Talas

On February 20, a meeting of the board was held at the Talas Regional Drama Theater named after K. Medetbekov to discuss the results of the socio-economic development of the region for 2025 and plans for 2026.

The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Talas Region Ermat Dzhumaev, district akims, the mayor of the city, heads of rural administrations, and heads of institutions.

During the meeting, it was announced that a bean processing plant would be built in the region this year. It was also noted that in 2025, the birth rate in the region decreased by 167 children.

The President's representative in the region, Ermat Dzhumaev, reported on changes in the composition of the regional board. He then presented a presentation on 20 projects being implemented and planned for the celebration of Independence Day, which will be celebrated in Talas on August 31, 2026.

To familiarize the attendees with the results of the past year, the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative Maksat Baidzhigitov delivered a report. According to his report, weekly fairs were held to stabilize prices on socially significant products, and meat prices were maintained at a stable level.

The volume of attracted investments amounted to 7 billion 932.1 million soms, demonstrating growth. The budget growth rate increased to 175.3%, tax collection indicators improved, and the local budget was supplemented by 90 million soms.

As part of support for entrepreneurship, 102 enterprises were built, creating more than 500 jobs. In the industrial sector, 6 large enterprises were put into operation.

Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative Mira Seydikirimova reported on achievements in the social sphere. According to her data, in 2025, 51 cases of maternal mortality were recorded, which is 11 cases fewer than in 2024. The incidence of tuberculosis (106 cases) and hepatitis B (2 cases) decreased. Issues related to education, migration, database creation, monitoring of social assistance recipients under the "Social Contract" program, the region's sports achievements, the religious situation, and cultural development were also highlighted.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev assessed the overall results as positive in his speech.

By the decision of the board, the dynamics of socio-economic growth for 2025 was recognized as positive. Plans were approved for mandatory housing insurance, accelerating long-term construction projects, quality implementation of projects, improving the level of education, preventing domestic violence, and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to the population.

Following the results of 2025, the Manas district was awarded the transitional Red Banner and a cash prize of 50,000 soms. The best rural area was recognized as Shumkar-Uya (prize of 30,000 soms). The United Hospital named after Ch. Mambetov received 10,000 soms. The director of the Talas Electric Networks Enterprise Akylbek Sultanov was recognized as the "Best Manager" and awarded a prize of 5,000 soms.
