The project is being implemented by the Vietnamese company Rox Energy Global
During his working visit to the Issyk-Kul region, the head of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev, got acquainted with the implementation of the solar power plant project located in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk in the Issyk-Kul district. This was reported by the government press service.
The construction of the solar power plant "Issyk-Kul-1" began in September 2025.
The total installed capacity of the project will be 1,900 MW, with investments reaching $1.4 billion.
It is expected that the plant will annually produce 3.6 billion kWh of environmentally friendly electricity.
The project is being implemented in phases:
– first phase: 150 MW;
– second phase: 450 MW;
– third phase: 1,300 MW.
It is expected that the construction of the entire "Issyk-Kul-1" solar power plant complex will be completed by 2028.
