Yesterday, February 20, a ceremonial event was held near the House of Culture in the Jayil District of the Chui Region in honor of Mother Language Day.

Representatives from five national and cultural centers attended the celebration, showcasing exhibitions of national dishes, as well as demonstrating traditional musical instruments and elements of everyday life. Guests were greeted by girls in bright national costumes, creating an atmosphere of respect for cultural diversity.

On stage, songs were performed in Kyrgyz, Kazakh, and Uyghur languages, while the audience was treated to dances from Turkish and Uzbek cultures. During the event, emphasis was placed on the multi-nationality of Kyrgyzstan, which is home to over 100 ethnic groups. For each of them, language serves as a vital means of preserving cultural heritage and traditions.

The event organizers noted that Mother Language Day symbolizes friendship, mutual respect, and harmony among all peoples.

At the conclusion of the celebration, the national and cultural centers of the district were awarded letters of appreciation for their contribution to the development of local social life.
