According to information from the Ministry of Natural Resources of Kyrgyzstan, as of January 1, 2026, there are 1,909,961 registered vehicles in the country.
This figure shows a growth of 13% compared to 2024, when the number of cars was 1,697,100.
The breakdown by types of registered vehicles is as follows:
— 972,252 gasoline cars (51%);
— 339,938 diesel vehicles (18%);
— 57,310 gas-powered cars (3%);
— 56,997 with gas-petrol installations (3%);
— 37,295 hybrids (2%).
The remaining vehicles make up a less significant share.
Additionally, the ministry emphasized that there is a trend towards updating the vehicle fleet. Thus, in 2024, the share of cars not older than 5 years was 1.5%, and in 2025 it increased to 4.5% of the total number of registered vehicles.
