Kyias Moldokasymov, a renowned historian from Bishkek, shared alarming news on social media that his 6-hectare garden in the Alamudun district could be destroyed due to plans for the construction of a bypass road.

According to him, the work was planned without prior notification and the necessary project documentation.

A public outcry arose after a report aired on one of the television channels. As Moldokasymov himself noted, following this, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, arrived at the scene with a working group to propose an alternative option — to reroute the road around the garden.

The historian expressed his shock at the possibility of losing the land he had carefully cultivated for many years. He emphasized that the garden has not only economic significance but also produces a significant amount of oxygen and serves as an example of the development of a green economy in the city.

Fortunately, the situation was resolved favorably, and the historian will be able to continue taking care of his garden.
