A decision has been made in Kyrgyzstan to extend the spring break.
The Ministry of Education reported that based on appeals and requests from citizens, it was decided to increase the duration of spring vacation for schoolchildren.
According to the new schedule, the break will take place from March 2 to March 7, 2026, adding four additional days to the previously established period.
Previously, according to the initial plan, spring break was supposed to last only three days—from March 6 to March 8, with March 7 and 8 falling on the weekend.
The ministry noted that to fulfill the educational plan, the remaining school days will be made up in May. Thus, the end of the 2025–2026 academic year will be postponed from May 25 to May 29.
The ceremonial event "Last Bell" is scheduled for May 29, 2026.
