The deputy reported a tragic incident involving a pedestrian who became a victim of a hit-and-run.
At a parliamentary meeting, Zhanibek Abirov spoke about a fatal traffic accident that occurred earlier in the Jalalabad microdistrict on Tynalieva Street, where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
He noted that there used to be a pedestrian crossing at this location, but it was subsequently removed.
“There are multi-story residential buildings and a bus stop nearby, and hundreds of people cross this road daily. Nevertheless, safety measures here are clearly insufficient,” the deputy emphasized.
In this regard, he proposed to consider the possibility of constructing an overpass on Tynalieva Street, at the site of the lost crossing, to enhance the safety of citizens.
Additionally, Zhanibek Abirov pointed out the need to create an overpass at the intersection of Akhunbaev and Kurchatov Streets.
