Instead of a green zone, there will be an attraction. Part of the park in Bishkek has been fenced off
Citizens of Bishkek have expressed their concerns regarding the construction work that has begun in the Baytik Baatyr Park, located near the Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan Friendship Park, at the intersection of Baytik Baatyr and Tokombaev streets.

Local residents report: “The park has been surrounded by a fence, destroying green spaces, containers have been installed, and construction equipment has been launched. Our city already lacks trees, and here they are destroying the last green zone.”

They emphasize that there are not enough park areas in Bishkek, and they are decreasing every year. “If the construction of new buildings or attractions is planned, we will be against it. We would like the authorities to listen to the opinions of the citizens and create a public space for everyone,” they add.

The press service of the city hall noted that the work is being carried out on the territory belonging to the Sky Park amusement park.

The municipality assured that “a new attraction with elements of landscaping and improvement is being installed. The construction of a residential building is not planned here.”

It should be noted that the Sky Park amusement park opened its doors on June 1, 2025, with the participation of Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev. The project planned the creation of not only swings and carousels but also an amphitheater, museums, exhibition halls, as well as open-air venues for concerts and festivals.
