In anticipation of International Women's Day on March 8, the mayor of Gulcho, Nursultan Tajibaev, shared touching memories of his mother, Burulcha Abdykadyrova.

Burulcha apa is a woman who dedicated her life to raising four children: three daughters and one son. This year, on April 7, she will celebrate her 65th birthday.

According to the mayor, his mother sacrificed her own career to devote maximum time to raising her children. As a child, Nursultan did not like attending kindergarten and often ran away from there, so his mother decided to stay close to him constantly, even until the start of his school years. "Once, when I was 4 years old, I wandered around the city and eventually reached my mother's workplace. It was winter. When I, all frozen, appeared at her doorstep, everyone was shocked. After that incident, mom didn’t let me out of her sight until the 4th or 5th grade," he recalls.

Nursultan Tajibaev notes that his mother's main advice was always the words: "Be a human" ("адам бол"). In childhood, he did not fully grasp the depth of this phrase, but as he grew older, he understood how wise and all-encompassing this message was. His mother raised her children not with strictness, but with wisdom: if the children made mistakes, she often showed hurt and remained silent, which had a stronger effect than any punishment.

The mayor is deeply convinced that his successes in life have been made possible by his mother's prayers and blessings. "Understanding that without the satisfaction of parents, there will be no satisfaction from the Almighty, I always strive to receive my mother's blessing ("бата") and prayers. I often ask my children to pray for their grandmother as well. I believe that even when I am not around, she continues to pray for me during namaz. Perhaps it is thanks to her quiet requests to God that we achieve success in life," says Tajibaev.

Nursultan Tajibaev highlighted his mother's incredible endurance. She steadfastly endured all of life's hardships, often hiding her tears from those around her. "It is unlikely that there is a woman more patient than my mom. It is from her that I learned patience. Even now, as an adult, I feel her care and tenderness. She was never strict with me, but if she punished my sister, I cried with her out of empathy," the mayor reported.
