According to information from the APA agency, since February 28, 114 Russians have been able to leave Iran through the border with Azerbaijan. In total, 553 people have been evacuated from the conflict zone, including 152 Azerbaijani citizens, 127 Chinese, 65 Pakistanis, and 42 Tajiks.
The active phase of returning Russians to their homeland has begun: on March 2, a government plane made its first flight from Baku to Moscow, carrying 32 Russian citizens. On the same day, the children's ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova confirmed that her office had started receiving numerous requests from families whose relatives found themselves in the conflict zone and need assistance.
The situation at the borders remains tense, so Russian citizens are advised to consider other routes for leaving Iran, including through Turkmenistan. Diplomatic institutions continue to work on organizing evacuations, using all available transport routes.
