On February 19, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, along with members of the urban planning council, inspected construction work on Chuy Avenue, emphasizing the importance of preserving green spaces and the fountain area. During this inspection, it was revealed that the construction project near TSUM 'Aichurek' does not comply with the approved urban planning standards and sketch.
In response, JSC 'TSUM 'Aichurek' issued a statement clarifying its position.
"The land plot on which the 'Old Bishkek' project is being implemented is not owned by JSC 'TSUM 'Aichurek'. It was transferred under a sales agreement and now belongs to LLC 'Central Aizhan Trade Company'. Since the official registration of the transfer of ownership rights, we are not the owner, rights holder, or participant in the implementation of this project," the statement reads.
JSC 'TSUM 'Aichurek' is neither the developer, nor the customer, nor the investor, nor the responsible party for the design and execution of construction works. All architectural and technical decisions pertain exclusively to the developer and rights holder.
Nevertheless, JSC 'TSUM' expresses its support for the preservation of green and fountain areas, as well as compliance with urban planning standards in the interests of the citizens.
