
In connection with the current events in the Middle East, about three thousand Kyrgyz citizens have decided to return to their homeland. This was announced at a press conference by Seytek Jumakadyrov, the director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to actively work on the return of citizens to Kyrgyzstan and expects that the remaining citizens will arrive in the near future.
According to his statement, 426 of those who returned were brought home on free flights organized by the state, while the others returned independently.
It was previously reported that about 22 thousand Kyrgyz citizens live in various countries in the Middle East.
