According to information provided by the initiative group "BishkekSmog," the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic stated that it did not grant permission for the installation of a ventilated facade on the building of the Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports.
This building is an object of architectural heritage of republican significance. The agency expressed gratitude to citizens for their activity and attention to issues of preserving historical heritage.
Local residents had previously expressed concerns that the renovation work on the facade at 97 Akhunbaeva Street could lead to the loss of the historical appearance of this monument, which was built in 1955 according to the designs of renowned architects Yevgeny Pisarsky and Gennady Savvateev.
The Ministry of Culture also noted that any changes regarding the appearance of the building should only be made with the appropriate approvals.
