On March 16, the mayor of the city, Aibek Junushaliev, held a meeting with Askar Salymbekov, president of the 'Dordoy' Association, during which issues related to the improvement of the market area were discussed, with a focus on the lake and its surroundings. This information was provided by the press service of the city hall.
The head of the capital emphasized that support for businesses from the city is important, but it must be carried out in accordance with established requirements. In this regard, significant work is planned to improve the area around the lake adjacent to the market.
As part of the project, it is planned to install a fence around the lake, clean and organize the nearby area, as well as create a walking zone that will become a safer and more convenient place for market visitors and local residents.
Additionally, as part of the overall modernization of the market infrastructure, the construction of multi-level parking lots and the organization of existing parking spaces are planned.
The mayor instructed to return all parking areas within the market territory to municipal management, implementing a payment system via QR codes.
Askar Salymbekov reported that the construction of roads in the market area will begin on April 1, 2026.
As a result of the meeting, Aibek Junushaliev instructed the Sverdlovsk district administration, as well as the municipal property management and land use control departments, to complete the preparatory work, including the dismantling of structures that hinder the improvement of the area around the lake and the implementation of infrastructure projects.
