According to information provided by the press service of the State Penitentiary Service (GPS), the incident occurred on January 5 at approximately 15:25 at a security post. A serviceman born in 2007 was part of the 5th guard battalion responsible for security and escorting.
Preliminary data indicates that he sustained a gunshot wound, which was fatal, and died at the scene.
The Deputy Chairman of the GPS, Colonel Kurmanbek Sokeev, as well as senior officials from the relevant departments, went to the scene of the tragedy to clarify all circumstances.
Officers from the Bazar-Korgon district police department and the military prosecutor's office of the Jalal-Abad garrison are involved in the investigation. The military prosecutor's office is currently conducting an inquiry and gathering the necessary information.
