Employees of the tourist-ecological police of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, together with employees of the Ton District Department of Internal Affairs, conducted an operation to eliminate illegal fishing nets collected in the waters of the lake in the Ton District throughout 2025.
As part of the operation, thousands of meters of synthetic nets, which cause serious harm to the environment, were removed and destroyed from the shoreline and the waters of the lake.
According to the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, the collected nets were delivered to a specialized landfill of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" in the Kün-Chyghys rural district of the Ton District, where they were disposed of in accordance with established procedures.
