Two Men Fined for Illegal Fishing on the Jazy River in the Uzgen District

On January 8, a raid was conducted in the Uzgen district, organized by inspectors from the Osh Regional Department of the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service and employees of the "Bars-2" group from NABU.

According to the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service, during the event, one citizen was detained for fishing on the Jazy River without complying with the law. As a result, he was fined 1,000 soms for violating amateur fishing rules, as stipulated in paragraph 1 of Article 266 of the Code of Offenses.

In addition, another citizen was caught using prohibited synthetic nets, known as "screen" devices for catching fish in the same river. He was fined 5,500 soms based on Article 267 of the Code of Offenses, which pertains to the use of synthetic fishing nets and electrofishing systems.
