In Osh Region, 3 men illegally kept 7 grey-headed goldfinches in a cage. They were fined 30,000 soms.

On January 1, raids were conducted in the hunting grounds of the Kara-Suy and Aravan districts, organized by inspectors from the Osh Regional Office of the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service in collaboration with staff from the Department of Specially Protected Natural Areas and Biodiversity of the Ministry of Natural Resources, as well as the "Bars-2" group from the NABU organization.

According to information provided by the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service, during the inspection in the Kümböz Papanskay aiyl aimak, three individuals were found to be illegally keeping seven wild birds of the gray-headed goldfinch (sary kanat) in special cages.

The offenders were fined 30,000 soms based on paragraph 1 of Article 261 of the Code of Offenses, which pertains to illegal hunting or harvesting of wildlife with minor damage.

Since the health of the birds was satisfactory, they were released and returned to their natural habitat.
