The detention of law enforcement officers was carried out by GKNB employees
The incident in Uzgen, where police officers beat two citizens, has become the subject of an investigation by the GKNB.
On January 3, employees of the Uzgen Department of Internal Affairs detained and illegally brought two men to the Kurshab Police Station. According to the investigation, during the detention, they were subjected to beating, and one of them sustained serious injuries, including a traumatic brain injury with brain swelling.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Osh region prosecutor's office under Articles 130 Part 3 Item 2 ("Causing serious harm to health") and 338 Part 2 Item 4 ("Abuse of power") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
The suspected police officers S.H., I.u.K., and A.A. have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
The investigation is ongoing.
