In a recent podcast organized by the "Kabar" agency, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, candidly shared aspects of his personal life and how he utilizes rare moments of free time to connect with his family. He has four children: two daughters and two sons.
His daughters, who are in the 7th and 9th grades, hold a significant place in his life. Junushaliev noted that due to his busy work schedule, he tries to make the most of every opportunity to spend time with them.
“Just before the New Year, I managed to take only two days off to take my daughters to the mountains to ski. I understood that after the holidays, there would be no free time. Recently, when they mentioned the new movie 'Avatar', we went to the cinema together. In such moments, I do everything possible to be with my children,” the mayor shared.
Aibek Junushaliev also acknowledged that working in government limits the time he can dedicate to his family.
“Working in public service does not allow me to spend as much time with my family as I would like. However, on weekends, when my granddaughter comes over, I try to spend as much time with her as possible. She is only 2.5 years old, and it evokes completely different feelings. When I am with her, I feel a true sense of spiritual rest,” the mayor shared.
