In this regard, the agency reminds of the importance of adhering to traffic rules before starting a trip.
Drivers are advised to:
- maintain a safe distance and adhere to the established speed limit;
- avoid sharp maneuvers, sudden stops, and unreasonable overtaking;
- check the technical condition of the vehicle before departure, including brakes, lighting, and windshield wipers;
- postpone long trips and outings to mountainous areas until weather conditions improve, if possible.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate also urges pedestrians to be especially cautious when crossing streets, to follow traffic rules, and to use reflective elements in conditions of poor visibility or at night.
