According to information provided by the presidential administration, the changes are aimed at strengthening state control over the technical inspection process, enhancing road safety, and improving the quality of services provided in this area.
The new amendments include the following:
- functions that were previously assigned to the technical center of the Main Department of Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will now be transferred to the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing, which is under the jurisdiction of the presidential administration;
- the name of the responsible authority in the relevant sections of the decree will be replaced with a new one;
- the center operating under the presidential administration has also been added to the list of bodies involved in the reform of technical inspections.
The decree comes into effect from the moment of its official publication.
