
The press service of the president reported that Abdikarim Alimbaev has been relieved of his duties as the first deputy chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to official data, the decree appointing Alimbaev as the chairman of the State Border Service was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
Abdikarim Alimbaev, born on April 19, 1973, has a higher education.
- In 1995, he graduated from the Military Institute of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, and in 2006 — from the Military Academy of the Federal Security Service of Russia.
- From 1993 to 2013, he held command positions in various units of the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan;
- From 2013 to 2014, he headed the regional border management in Osh and Jalal-Abad regions;
- From 2014 to 2016, he served as the deputy chairman of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan;
- In May 2016, Alimbaev was appointed chairman of the State Border Service.
He is married and has three children.
