According to the presidential decree, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), Timur Shabdanbekov, has been dismissed. Akylbek Namazov has been appointed to his position.
It is worth noting that on February 10 of this year, President Sadyr Japarov dismissed the Chairman of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev. On the same day, three of his deputies were relieved of their duties, and the Border Service and the State Guard Service became independent structures.
The acting head of the special service has been appointed as Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov.
On February 14, the head of the GKNB in Bishkek, Eldar Jakypbekov, was removed and later detained on charges of corruption.
On February 16, the head of the GKNB in Osh and the Osh region, Salmoor Jumabekov, was dismissed.
