Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed as the acting chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, signed a decree dismissing Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been temporarily appointed to replace him.
Kamchybek Tashiev was appointed as the chairman of the GKNB on October 16, 2020, at that time the decree was signed by Sadyr Japarov, who was acting as president after the events of October 5-6, 2020.
This power tandem, known as "eki dosy," became a symbol of friendship and cooperation and was considered one of the most influential in the political life of the country.
Despite rumors of possible disagreements and disputes between them, both sides have repeatedly denied these claims.
