At a parliamentary meeting, Deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu raised the issue of the water bodies surrounding the residential area "Muras-Ordo" in Bishkek, where eight children have already drowned. He strongly urged the need to address this problem to prevent further tragedies.

The deputy noted that there are 18 artificial water bodies in this area, which pose a constant threat to the safety of local residents.

"Eight children have drowned in these water bodies. How many more lives must be lost for this to become a lesson for everyone? Law enforcement agencies, the mayor's office, and the local administration must finally take action. Maybe we should relocate the mayor or the akim to 'Muras-Ordo' so they can feel the seriousness of the situation?" the parliamentarian questioned.

In addition to the immediate threat to children, the water bodies also cause significant harm to the district's infrastructure. The constant dampness threatens the integrity of the foundations of houses and creates environmental problems.

In conclusion of his speech, the deputy called on government representatives to instruct the mayor of Bishkek to eliminate the dangerous water bodies and ensure the safety of citizens.
