In Uzbekistan, the cost of education for farmers' children in agricultural universities will be reduced

As part of this plan, significant benefits are provided for farmers' children. Applicants from families engaged in agriculture who were unable to score enough points for admission to the Tashkent State Agrarian University will have the opportunity to study under reduced contract costs.

Serious changes in the educational process are also planned. The duration of study in seven main areas will be reduced from four to three years. The curricula will be adapted to modern requirements: students will be able to master the management of agricultural drones, as well as skills in operating tractors. An important part of the education will consist of practical training: more than 6,800 students will undergo internships in agro-clusters and enterprises, while another 2,600 will study at research institutes under the Ministry of Agriculture.

Changes are also planned in the scientific field. The country plans to create a unified Academy of Agricultural Sciences, which will unite 22 research centers, 260 laboratories, and more than 2,500 researchers.

In addition, as part of the reforms, the feed base will be expanded. By 2030, it is planned to develop and improve the condition of nearly 940,000 hectares of pastures, which is expected to stimulate the development of livestock and significantly increase the production of meat and wool.
