At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, stated that there are no longer any "curators" influencing judicial decisions.

These words were a response to comments made by Deputy Guli Kozhokulova, who emphasized the need for reforming the judicial system. She pointed out that in recent years, courts have often made unfounded decisions under the pressure of curators from the GKNB, which has also been confirmed by several judges. Kozhokulova also stressed that such curators should be eliminated.

The president reminded that previously, such "curators" worked in the presidential administration, who, holding the status of department heads, assumed the functions of judges, prosecutors, and police. "Everyone remembers names like Manas and Almamбет. I am aware of all of them. But now I will not allow a repeat of this. I tell my staff directly: if you are caught in corruption, you will not escape punishment," he added.

Sadyr Japarov also noted that he maintains constant communication with judges, who inform him about the pressure they face to make certain decisions. "I respond immediately to threats and take appropriate measures," the president emphasized.
