According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, information about Jenalieva's detention became known on November 7, 2025, when details of the incident began to spread actively on the internet. In response, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kuwait began to provide consular support and cooperate with the Iraqi authorities to protect the rights of its citizen.
An embassy staff member was in contact with the Iraqi authorities until the situation was fully resolved and maintained communication with the detainee's relatives, informing them of all developments.
As a result, due to violations of Iraq's immigration regulations, the authorities decided to forcibly deport the citizen.
On December 26, 2025, she returned to the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reminded its citizens of the importance of adhering to the laws of the countries in which they are located.
