
The State Penitentiary Service confirmed the information about the death of an accused person in pre-trial detention center No. 1. This incident occurred on February 7, 2026, around 12:30 PM.
According to official data, on that day, A.K.K. was found dead in his cell, having hanged himself with his pants on the inner barred door. Despite attempts to provide medical assistance, he could not be saved.
Employees of the investigative group of the State Penitentiary Service and representatives of the prosecutor's office, ensuring compliance with the law in institutions, promptly arrived at the scene. As a result, all necessary materials were collected, and the incident was registered in the established manner. For further investigation, forensic medical examinations were also appointed.
It should be noted that the accused was transferred to this investigative facility on December 17, 2025, from the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek.
We remind you that he was detained on September 30, 2025, by employees of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region on suspicion of a crime under part 2 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. In accordance with the court's decision of October 1, 2025, he was ordered to be held in custody, which was later extended until March 29, 2026.
The accused was linked to a series of rapes and murders of girls whom he picked up as a taxi driver, including Kamila Duyshaeva and Aysulu Mukasheva.
