According to eyewitness accounts, the tragedy happened over the weekend. The girl lost control while skiing and rolled into the gorge.
The information about the incident was confirmed by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region. On February 8, 2026, at approximately 21:40, a report was received at the Alamidin District Internal Affairs Department stating that a girl named A. had fallen into a ravine during a ski descent at the "Kashka-Kulak" ski base, located in the village of Baytik.
After registering the incident, an investigative operational group was dispatched to the scene. During the investigation, it was established that 17-year-old T.A. had come to the base with friends for skiing. After obtaining ski passes, they began their descent, and while moving at high speed, T.A. collided with a rope barrier and fell into the ravine.
After the fall, the girl was urgently transported to the intensive care unit of the trauma department of the National Hospital in Bishkek.
According to preliminary data, the victim has been diagnosed with serious injuries: fractures of both legs, one arm, and the spine.
In connection with the incident, a forensic medical examination has been appointed. An investigation is underway, and a decision will be made in accordance with current legislation based on the results.
