On January 11, 2026, a citizen C.K. (born in 1999) filed a complaint with the police department of the Issyk-Ata district, stating that citizen S.M., who works as an appraiser-cashier at the pawnshop "U.P." in the city of Kant, was issuing fictitious loans at inflated prices and misappropriating the funds under her management.
According to preliminary data, from November 2024 to December 31, 2025, citizen S.M. embezzled funds totaling 4,000,000 soms.
A criminal case has been initiated in relation to the crime defined in Article 210 (Embezzlement and Misappropriation of Entrusted Property) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, citizen S.M., born in 1986, was detained on suspicion of committing this crime and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
