On February 17, 2026, at 12:10, avalanches occurred at two locations in the Chychkan gorge, as reported by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. As a result, temporary restrictions have been imposed for all vehicles at the “Sosnovka” and “Aral” checkpoints.
According to preliminary data, the avalanches are about 100 meters long and 5 meters high. Currently, Road Maintenance Enterprise No. 23 is actively working on clearing the road, utilizing specialized equipment.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic urges drivers to adhere to safety measures and understand the temporary restrictions. Further information will be provided later.
